It’s a bit of a depressing day in Boston (gloomy, rainy, and the museum switched to Summer Hours) so I thought a depressing picture was in order.
This is the stone at the entrance to the New England Holocaust Memorial in downtown Boston (with some snapseed editing).
The memorial is one of the most beautiful things - six glass towers, each representing a concentration camp with 1 million numbers etched into the glass to honor those who perished. Quotations from those who lived and died are placed throughout, and steaming grates are located on the walkway that runs through the towers. Amazing that such a peaceful memorial represents the atrocities committed during WWII
